Taiwan New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration under TCSCA/OSHA
Overview
The year 2015 witnessed new changes to the chemical substance management in Taiwan, resulted from the newly amended Toxic Chemical Substances Control Act (TCSCA) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
On March 11, 2019, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) officially issued the “Regulations of New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration”. The central competent authority may, by stages, designate the lists of existing chemical substances subject to standard registration, including the names of the chemical substances, quantity thresholds and the deadlines for registration, based on the circumstances of the phase 1 registration of existing chemical substances.
